Parmarth Niketan

This is one of the top yoga centres in India and the largest ashram in the area, located on the banks of the holy Ganges River. It has blossomed over 70 years of its existence into Rishikesh’s largest ashram. The ashram was founded by Swami Shukdevanand Saraswati in 1942.

It is open to all, without discrimination based on race, gender, nationality, religion, caste, or creed.

Ashram is famous for its Hawan on the Ghat of Parmarth and for its Ganga Arati, which takes place daily in the morning and evening. Ashram also runs a school that follows the traditions and cultures of India. Number of people visiting the Ashram during the International Yoga Festival is high.

Many travellers visit for the Ayurvedic treatments, which include exercises, music therapy, healthy diets, and yoga. Paramarth Niketan is in Rishikesh at Swargashram.
